Tandy Bailey
(1991-93)
I began working in the International Understanding (Team Teaching) Program in June 1991. I remember staying in the old guesthouse and the rain that fell for days. I had come from the desert in Tucson, Arizona, and the lushness was overwhelming.
Working in the junior high schools was wonderful. The teachers were so kind and the students so eager. I even liked the school lunches! I loved every single moment of my time at LIOJ. I felt blessed to have ended up there and I still do.
