Lisa Brickell
(1997-98)
I worked at LIOJ from 1997 to 1998 and I have great memories of LIOJ, Asia Center, Odawara, and Japan as a whole.
One of the many highlights of my job at LIOJ was teaching disco dancing, in particular, the Brooklyn Hustle, to students on the High School Intensive Program-All those John Travolta lookalikes strutting their stuff!!!
Another fond memory is being involved in the Summer Workshops of '97 and '98. At the earlier workshop, I met Colin Granger, who has a similar interest in both EFL and drama. I spent the last year working with him in Brighton, in the UK.
